Nourishing Foot Treatment

There are a variety of products that can be used but in this example I will be highlighting Sensaria's Nourishing Moisturizer for this spa treatment. This lotion is blue and it is not from some added coloring. It comes from Azulene which is derived from the soothing Chamomile plant. This product isn't just for the face which is why it comes in a big 6oz tube as well as a 2oz one. I even use this lotion on my son's eczema and he loves using his "blue medicine".

Here are the instructions for this easy spa treatment:

1. Clean your feet by treating yourself to a spa foot soak on the couch in front of the TV. I suppose this really isn't necessary but it sure feels good!
2. Slather the lotion all over your feet and don't worry about having to rub it all in. However, you can treat yourself to a little foot massage too. Better yet ... have your partner do this for you!
3. Get out some clean, cotton socks and put them over your moisturized feet. 
4. Go to bed! 
5. Take off your socks when you wake up in the morning and feel how soft and supple your little footsies are!

Now, if you hate wearing socks to bed like I do then put the lotion on after you take a shower. Cover your feet with socks and bum around the house or just do your normal weekend routine. You will notice a difference when those socks come off! Of course, you can use any lotion you have on hand but Sensaria's foot products also work great with this too. Sole Survivor (our foot mask) and Sole Revival (our foot lotion) both have Tea Tree Oil in them which is great for combating that stinky foot syndrome.

Silky, Smooth, Sexy Legs

You too can have those sexy, silky, smooth legs that you see on models in those fashion magazines! How? Well, besides being blessed with amazing genes ... you can use Sweet and Smooth. There is a reason why it is one of our top selling products! It has a simple and pure ingredient list ... Sea Salt, Sweet Almond Oil, Sugar and Sweet Orange Oil. This is one product that will never fail to make you happy! It is like opening a jar of sunshine. Who wouldn't be happy about that? Did you ever wonder why there is both sugar and salt to exfoliate? Each ingredient has a different size crystal to stimulate and refresh your skin.

It always amazes me how many times people are surprised at what my #1 reason for using this product: Shaving! The sugar and salt exfoliates your skin and gets all the hairs to stand up which results in a super close shave. I have even used it on my underarms and bikini area with no razor burn. Here are the instructions for a silky, smooth shave:

1) Use it in the shower or the bath but make sure to not get any water into the jar. It will just make the crystals hard.

2) Apply a scoop or two over your whole body and scrub gently. Pay close attention to any rough spots like elbows.

3) Rinse off the sugar and salt crystals in the shower or bath.

4) The oils left on your skin make the perfect surface for shaving.

5) Towel dry and voila! I bet people won't be able to stop touching your skin!

Just be careful since it does tend to leave your bathtub or shower stall a bit slick. I usually squirt a bit of our Body Wash and swish it around with my foot and it is all ready to go for the next person!

Jojoba Oil's Many Uses

Jojoba Oil (pronounced "ho-HO-bah") is one of the most versatile and pure products we offer. It is the golden liquid of desert Jojoba shrub. Native to the arid deserts of the United States and Mexico, Jojoba's basic molecular structure is very similar to sebum, our skin's own natural oil. It absorbs quickly into the skin so there is no greasy feeling after using it. This is truly a 100% natural product and has no scent whatsoever. I also just learned that Jojoba Oil isn't really an oil at all but it is actually a liquid wax. They only call it an "oil" because it is easier to relate to since it looks more like an "oil" than a "wax". You can even eat it if you want to but I don't recommend it since it is non-digestible. You will only need a tiny drop or two of this golden elixir in most applications so it is a good thing that this stuff never goes bad. That is probably due to the fact that this oil has natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and does not go rancid like other oils.

Here are just a few things you can do with it:

1. CUTICLE TREATMENT: Take a few drops and massage into your cuticles. Push back your cuticles and enjoy the soft, supple feeling your fingers are now experiencing. If you use it on a regular basis, your nails will become stronger and healthier too.
   
2. CONDITIONER BOOST: Add a few drops to your hair conditioner for an extra boost of moisture.
   
3. HOT OIL TREATMENT: Heat a small portion (I have short hair and use about a teaspoon) or heat the bottle in a bowl of hot water. Apply it to dry hair and massage into the scalp. Cover with a warm, damp towel for 15 minutes then shampoo as usual.
   
4. DE-FRIZZER: Got those pesky flyaway hairs? Smooth them down with a touch oil into the palms of your hands and rub the ends of your hair to keep it soft and sleek.
   
5. MOISTURIZER: Apply a few drops onto your skin -- even your face -- and let it absorb into your skin. You can even add it to your lotion to give it an extra boost of hydrating power.
   
6. LIP BALM: Rub a drop onto your lips for a natural and scent free smile.
   
7. MASSAGE: A little will go a long way and it makes a great massage oil. Add your own essential oil to it for a great scented massage.
   
8. MAKEUP REMOVER: I have read that you can use it to remove all makeup including that tough to remove eye makeup too. Sensaria has their own great Eye Makeup Remover but hey if you already have this versatile product then why not use it instead? So, just Soak a cotton pad or ball and gently wipe your makeup away. An added bonus is that you are moisturizing your skin and eye lashes too!
   
9. SHAVING: Why not rub this on your skin before you apply your shaving cream. It will leave your skin nice and smooth and help prevent razor burn too. Or, if you have our Sweet & Smooth around then use that instead as the exfoliation really helps.

Moisturizing Salt Glows

A lot of people aren't sure what to do with this product or how to use it so I thought I would give some tips. My favorite scent is Mango so I will be using that in this example but it also comes in three other scents: Cherry Almond, Green Tea and Rosemary Mint.
If you haven't treated yourself to this wonderful spa treatment then you are missing out. Of course, it is the ultimate pampering to go to a spa and have someone massage sea salt mixed with luxurious oils. The salt draws out impurities and exfoliates the dead skin cells on your body while the oils hydrate your skin and leave it silky smooth. However, the $75 - $100 price tag is a big hard to manage on a weekly or even monthly basis for most people. This is why I love what Sensaria has to offer. This popular spa treatment can be used many, many times for a fraction of the price of going to the spa. Plus, if you have little kids like me then it can be hard to find the time to get away as well.

USE IN SHOWER: Don't turn on the water in your shower or turn the water on and let it warm up the shower but turn it off before you get in. Apply a liberal amount on your body and gentle scrub from the neck down. Make sure to focus on any troubled areas like your elbows or knees. Turn on the shower and rinse off. Proceed with your shower like normal but you won't have to use a body wash so you are saving a step. Your skin will be so soft and have the light tropical scent of mango throughout the day.

USE AT SINK: I love using this as a special treatment when I want to give my hands some extra TLC. It is as simple as washing your hands but with expensive spa treatment results. Again, don't turn on the water but squirt some of the Mango Moisturizing Salt Glow into the palm of your hands. Rub them together like you are washing with soap and make sure to cover the backs of your hands too. Rinse your hands and towel dry. You can even follow up with some Mango Body Butter or Mango Body Lotion!

USE AT COUCH: Yes, you read that right! Why not treat your feet to a spa treatment while you are watching your favorite TV show? Get a foot tub or any small tub that your feet will fit in and fill it halfway with warm water. Before putting your toes in the water, squirt some of the Mango Moisturizing Salt Glow into the palm of your hands and massage your legs and feet. Rinse off in your tub of water and soak your feet while you enjoy your show. It is something that you can do during commercial time and no one can make you do anything for 30 minutes. Why not? Your feet are wet! It is nice to use some Mango Body Butter or Mango Body Lotion to complete your treatment.

My Evening Skin Care

Since I shared my morning ritual, I might as well share my evening one too. My skin is on the oily side but mostly in the T-zone. I love our Mineral Genesis product line but it is a little too rich for daytime use for me so I save it for my evening ritual. The moisturizer is the only product that I do not use at all since it is so rich and creamy. It is just too much for me but I know many other ladies who love it! Let me know what you think or if you have any questions!

1. Use two pumps of Sensaria's Mineral Genesis Facial Wash. Using this was a new experience for me since it does not foam up at all. I usually don't like those kinds of cleansers but this one definitely feels different. It really deep cleans my skin without stripping it either. It is great for the end of the day for getting all my makeup off and my skin has never been so soft!
   
2. Use three spritzes of Sensaria's Mineral Genesis Conditioning Mist. Unfortunately, this mist isn't as fine as the ones from the Signature line so I don't spray it directly on my face. Instead, I spray into the palm of my hand and massage it all over my face and neck.
   
3. Use 1/2 pump of Sensaria's Mineral Genesis Pure Gold. I am lucky to not need a lot of this product but it sure is powerful stuff. I love the way my skin looks after I use it!
   
4. Use one pump of Sensaria's Night Cream. This moisturizer is just rich enough for nighttime use but not so much that it feels greasy. I also love the way it smells!

Acne Prone Skin Care Ritual

Are you like me and have skin that is prone to break out with acne? I notice that it happens to me more when I have a hormone change like when my period is about to start .... or when I am pregnant ... or stop breastfeeding. Also, it tends to happen if I don't exfoliate enough too but that is maybe a topic for another post. I have found that Tea Tree Oil is one of the things that works for my skin so maybe it does for you too. Sensaria's men's products are not just for men! This is my routine in the morning and I will share my evening one in another post.

1. Get into the shower.


2. Apply a small amount of Sensaria's Face Scrub for Men on my face. I am a huge fan of our Sea Kelp Scrub but ran out one day so I thought I would try the men's. I was pleasantly surprised how much I like it! This scrub has a citrus scent and it foams up a bit so it makes me feel like my face is really getting clean. I use this at the same time I am shampooing my hair.
   
3. Wash with Sensaria's Face Wash for Men. Again, a small amount goes a long way here. This doesn't foam up a lot and so I tend to use it more like a mask. I leave it on while I am conditioning and using the body wash. It is supposed to be used as a shave gel for men so I figure that it won't hurt to leave it on for a bit.
   
4. Get out of the shower and dry off.
5. Spritz my face with Sensaria's Toning Mist. This isn't part of the men's line but I love my toner so much that I can't go without it. This one I can't use enough of it and I usually use about 5 sprays. Even though I use more than directed, it is the last of my face products to run empty.
   
6. Squirt one pump each of Sensaria's Advanced Firming Treatment and White Tea Calming Serum into the palm of my hand. Again, not part of the men's line but I can't live without my repair products either. The first one helps keep my skin firm and supple while the second combats any redness or irritation.
   
7. Pump just the tinist amount of Sensaria's Optimize Rejuvinating Eye Serum on the tip of my ring finger. I tap my ring fingers together and dot it all around my eye area. Gentle is the key here.
   
8. Apply a pea-size amount of Sensaria's Hydragel for Men all over my face. I always use too much of this product! That is okay since I spread it on my neck and chest too. I love how lightweight but still moisturizing this is for me. It also helps calm down any redness too.
   
9. Finish with Sensaria's Daily Sun Protection SPF 28. I don't always use it even though I know I should. It's just that some days I get lazy but really it is one of the best ways to protect your skin against aging!
   
10. Put makeup on.

Ok, that is it. Does it sound like a lot? Well maybe but it doesn't take me long at all and it helps that I have the whole line of products to play with too. Zit Zapper

I have a problem with the occasional (and not so occasional) blemish and I discovered this tip at our 2008 Convention directly from our Product Development Guru. Let me know how it works for you!

1. Wash your face with Sensaria's Face Wash for Men. This product contains Tea Tree Oil which helps fight off the bacteria that promotes acne breakouts. It also has many hydrating Dessert Plant Extracts plus soothing antioxidants like White Tea and Licorice.
   
2. Apply a small amount of Sensaria's Hydragel for Men all over your face. This product contains that powerful antibacterial Tea Tree Oil plus Allantoin which is a powerful anti-redness agent that calms visible irritation within seconds.
   
3. Follow with a few dabs of Sensaria's Clay Mask on each blemish. This product contains Kaolin Clay which removes any dulling, dead cells, unwanted oils and other environmental impurities that can clog pores and irritate the skin.
   
4. Keep the Clay Mask on overnight for maximum results. Or, wipe off after 30 minutes if you don't want to scare the person you are sleeping with. ;)
   
5. Wash your face as you usually do in the morning. You should see a noticeable reduction in redness and size of your blemishes.
