Products Retired on August 1st, 2010!

Well, did you know that July marks the end of our selling season? That means that exciting and new products will be available for sale in August! There are a limited amount of products that will fit in our catalog so some need to be retired to make way for the new ones. I am pretty happy about this year's decisions BUT there is always one product that I will certainly miss. One of my favorite products is going away which is the Moisturizing Salt Glows! The good news is that they will be replaced with Sugar Scrubs in the fall but I don't know what scents will be available. Stay tuned for more information and stock up on YOUR favorites while supplies last!

Also, these items are going to have price increases so if you want them at a lower price, then contact me right away! I can sell them to you in August BUT they will have a higher price!

Getting the Perfect Tan

I got my weekly newsletter from Sensaria today and they are including a product tip in each issue. I like it because not only do I get to learn something new but in today's case, it reminds me about something I already knew. Reading our rep newsletter inspires me to blog about the tips I read in there so I am going to try to update my blog once a week. It does get hard with all that I have going on but if you don't see me post ... then email or call me!

Ok, so on to today's tip about getting the perfect tan. While it is good to get some sun so we can all make some Vitamin D in our bodies ... it isn't a good idea to sit out in the sun all day to get a tan. There is definitely a fine balance between getting enough sun to stay healthy and getting too much sun where you risk getting skin cancer or wrinkles. Staying out in the sun definitely ages you quicker than if you slathered on sunscreen and avoid the sun. So, wouldn't you like to have the look of a healthy, glowing tan without all the harmful damage it can cause? The perfect product for you is Sensaria's Raydiance Sunless Tanner.

Now, you could just use the Sunless Tanner on it's own but for maximum results, start out with a great body scrub. Sensaria has a few different ones to offer and I wrote an article a few months ago about all the different types. My choice right now for a body scrub is Sensaria's White Sand Body Scrub. This scrub has a light tropical scent, white sand and sea salt which is a wonderful way to exfoliate all the dead skin cells. Using a body scrub helps prepare your skin for a smooth and even application.

Apply the body scrub in the shower to damp skin. Make sure you step away from the stream of water so the sea salt doesn't wash away too quickly. Rinse and towel dry off. Squirt a small amount of Raydiance Sunless Tanner into the palm of your hand and rub onto your skin. I like to apply it to my legs so make sure you coat them evenly. Don't forget the back of your legs and top of your feet too! Apply the tanner until it is all soaked in. If you leave too much product on then it will leave streaks. It is always best to apply less as you can do it again in a few hours. Then you will be able to tell if you missed any spots.

What to do with that dry winter skin?

It's the middle of winter and dry skin seems to be a problem everywhere! For my friends who already have dry skin ... it's a constant battle to stay soft and hydrated. Even I am feeling dry and itchy most days. Today it is raining and I am actually glad since the air has been so dry lately. It was nice to enjoy the sunshine here in Seattle and we had a good week of nice weather. However, my skin got really dried out so it is time to pamper it with Sensaria! 

There are a number of salt scrubs that we carry that are excellent so I thought I would try to explain all the different ones we carry. They all will exfoliate that dead, dry, rough skin and reveal beautiful, glowing, moisturized skin below!

1) SWEET & SMOOTH ~ This is our #1 selling product for over 7 years in a row now. There are so many reasons why! The sweet orange and almond oils give a wonderful cherry and uplifting scent that is bound to make you smile when you put it on. Orange Oil is a mood enhancer so it is hard to be sad after you use it. My favorite way to use Sweet & Smooth is to shave with it as I described in a previous blog post. I think it is the most hydrating of all our body scrubs but it is also the most messy too. I like that it has sugar and sea salt since they have different size crystals for a great and effective exfoliation. The downside to this product? You have to keep it out of the shower/tub because the crystals harden if they get wet. Also, it only comes in one scent and you do have to clean up a bit after otherwise the shower/tub is pretty slick for the next person. I just squirt some body wash on the tub and swish around with my feet and it takes care of it. 

2) MOISTURIZING SALT GLOWS ~ These are so popular and so easy to use! They come in four different scents from our Signature line: Mango, Cherry Almond, Green Tea and Rosemary Mint. The salt glows come in a handy tube that you can keep in the shower to use anytime! The sea salt and oils are a perfect blend for a quick spa treatment right in your own shower. 

3) WHITE SAND BODY SCRUB ~ This is our newest addition to our product line and debuted this month! It has a wonderfully light, tropical scent that will take you away to an island paradise in your own shower! Not only does it have sea salt and moisturizing oils but it also contains white beach sand too. The sand will continue to exfoliate all those dry, dead skin cells even after the salt has washed away! It's the perfect way to get ready for the beach!

4) REJUVENATING SALT MUD ~ I often forget about this product. You can pay a lot of money to go to a spa to have them apply this treatment or you can get the same results at home! Do you have some "trouble" areas like cellulite or sagging, aging skin on your thighs or buttocks? This is the perfect product to target those areas. It has a very refreshing minty scent and the sea salt and silt work hard at exfoliating and purifying your skin.
