Sensaria Closes Its Doors

I just wanted to send out a personal note to everyone that on July 18th, 2011 Sensaria decided to shut down and go out of business. The reasons they gave us were lack of sales, mounting debts and lack of funding. The representatives got very little notice and many of us are shocked and disappointed. Not only are we out of a job but we lost our income and all the products we loved so much too. None of us ever thought we would be in this position. It is a very sad time for us and we are trying to figure out what happened and what to do next.

Most of the products are now sold out online and I believe most of Sensaria employees are no longer employed as well. I will do just fine as my Sensaria business was "fun" money for me. I am in no hurry to find another business! Also, I don't know how much longer my Sensaria email will work so I wanted to let you know that you can contact me through my personal email at mhubinette at gmail dot com or by phone.

The leaders in Sensaria are looking at other possible options for companies to go with either to continue running a business or using their products so I am interested to hear what they will offer us. If you want to keep in touch with what I will be doing next then please follow me on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/Monica.Natural.Spa

I am researching my options and taking my time so please don't contact me unless I seek your information first. Thank you so much and I hope you are doing well!

What types of things are important to you as you look for a new opportunity?

I'd love to hear . . .

I am so sorry to hear about this. I, too, went through something similar a few years back but have since landed on my feet and am growing with a great company. It really takes some time to go through the grieving process so allow yourself to do that. You will know when the time is right to explore other opportunities.

I am a consultant for Lemongrass Spa Products. I was sad to hear that a company similar to ours had to close. I hope the representatives will investigate our company based in Colorado. We run with the principle of staying out of debt as well as providing high quality natural skin products. I love what I do and enjoy introducing my clients to healthy products for their skin as well as fun relaxing parties. I would love to share the Lemongrass experience with interested individuals.
Best wishes on all your future endeavors!

I only heard this news this week, my present time National Sales Director was Sensaria President a few years ago. I was shocked to see here that it was a surprise to most all of you. If VV did that with me, I am certain I would feel a disloyalty for all the years work I put into the company. I am sorry for your loss, because that is what this is, a loss.

Rachel, it is important that I love the products!

Hope, I already have some samples but I don't think this is the company for me. I will probably blog about what I have tried and discovered.

Pamela, I know Melissa was a big part of Sensaria and is now with VV. I looked at that product line too but it wasn't a fit for me either. You are right though. It is a loss.

Monica, any chance there has been any news as to whether or not another company is producing the Sensaria products under a new name? I used to rep for them and was a frequent customer and really miss the products! I would love to know if there is still a way to get them! Thanks!

Amber, I have not heard of another company picking up their product line. Darn shame too! My favorite replacements are from Beauty Society, Lemongrass Spa and Mary Kay. Others with more sensitive skin have had luck with other companies too. All the best!

I am very sad to read that Sensaria's products weren't picked up by any other company; I'm on my last 5 gallons of the body butter base that I use in many of my products within my skincare business (Gypsy Regimens). I bought 10 55gal drums of the lotion and some oils when they went out of business hoping it would be available somewhere else. my backup is Bulk Apothecary which is very nice, so if you're looking for anything similar to Sensaria they are pretty darn close.

Thanks for sharing Turtle. I haven't heard of that company so I will check it out!
