The Importance of Exfoliating

I truly believe that exfoliating your skin once or twice a week is essential for good skin care. I know that my skin seems to need it in order to keep breakouts away and plus, it just plain makes my skin so soft and smooth. I just feel that my skin builds up dirt and dead skin cells quicker than some so I tend to exfoliate every other day. Another benefit of regular exfoliation is that it allows the other products that you put on your skin to penetrate deeper and work better too. I am excited to have such a great selection of exfoliators from Sensaria to offer people with every different skin type and problem!

Sea Kelp Scrub ~ This was the first scrub that I fell in love with. I enjoy the scent and the walnut shells and apricot seeds provide the physical exfoliation in this scrub. It will really help keep your pores clear of debris and dirt which can lead to clogged pores and blemishes. People with normal, combination or oily skin can use this scrub. I just gently massage onto my face after cleansing and then rinse and follow with a toner and moisturizer. Also, massaging your skin can help promote the skin to create new skin cells so not only are you revealing newer skin after exfoliating but it will help keep you skin looking fresh for longer!

Enzyme Exfoliating Treatment ~ You should not use a physical exfoliator on skin that has blemishes because you will just break open the blemishes and spread the acne causing bacteria around your face and can potentially cause more breakouts. That is why I recommend this exfoliator and plus it is great for anyone who has dry or sensitive skin too. Instead of a physical exfoliant, this one uses fruit enzymes from Papaya and Pineapple that gently dissolve dead surface cells. It is just like putting on a creamy lotion on your skin. I put this on after cleansing in the shower and continue washing my body or conditioning my hair for as long as possible. Rinse it off and follow with a toner and moisturizer.

Face Scrub For Men ~ This product isn't just for men! I love using it especially when my face exploded when I got pregnant with my daughter. Plus, sometimes I am in a rush (what mom isn't?) in the shower so I will use this scrub since it foams up slightly and I feel like I am getting clean and exfoliated at the same time. This product uses microbeads of volcanic pumice to provide a physical exfoliation. For men who use this product, massage your face before shaving as it will provide you with a closer shave. It will help raise up stubble and get rid of dead skin cells which can clog razors. It will also help prevent ingrown hairs. I would suggest that men and anyone with acne prone or oily skin could use this scrub as well.

Microdermabrasion Creme ~ If people think scrubs are too harsh on their skin then maybe they are not using a good quality scrub or perhaps they are using it too often. Or perhaps they just need to start using our Microdermabrasion Creme! This product is gentle enough even for people with sensitive and dry skin who might not have thought they could use a physical scrub before. It uses a gentle blend of volcanic microdermabrasion crystals suspended in a soothing, conditioning crème. It is really far superior to any scrub I have used before. The crystals are so fine that you barely notice them at all but you certainly won't miss the results! I was looking around at various spas on their microdermabrasion treatments and they can cost anywhere between $90 and $130 for an hour treatment! This little jar will last much, much longer and you don't have to go to a fancy schmancy salon either!

Here is part two of our spa break rituals that you can do in 10 minutes or less. They are sprinkled throughout the new catalog but here is the rest of the list. I couldn't tag all the products in one blog post so here is part 2. Keep it handy when you need a quick pick me up!

MINT CONDITION IN MINUTES
• Apply Center Pulse Point Creme to temples
• Massage feet with Refresh the Sole; scrub and rinse
• Apply Sole Survivor on feet and elbows
• Massage Tender Touch Cuticle Treatment Crème into nails
• Rinse feet and elbows

TIME TO SHINE
• Apply Rejuvenating Salt Mud to body
• Massage Jojoba Oil into hair and scalp
• Exfoliate face with Sea Kelp Scrub and rinse
• In shower, massage Salt Mud while rinsing;

Acne Prone Skin Care Ritual

Are you like me and have skin that is prone to break out with acne? I notice that it happens to me more when I have a hormone change like when my period is about to start .... or when I am pregnant ... or stop breastfeeding. Also, it tends to happen if I don't exfoliate enough too but that is maybe a topic for another post. I have found that Tea Tree Oil is one of the things that works for my skin so maybe it does for you too. Sensaria's men's products are not just for men! This is my routine in the morning and I will share my evening one in another post.

1. Get into the shower.


2. Apply a small amount of Sensaria's Face Scrub for Men on my face. I am a huge fan of our Sea Kelp Scrub but ran out one day so I thought I would try the men's. I was pleasantly surprised how much I like it! This scrub has a citrus scent and it foams up a bit so it makes me feel like my face is really getting clean. I use this at the same time I am shampooing my hair.
   
3. Wash with Sensaria's Face Wash for Men. Again, a small amount goes a long way here. This doesn't foam up a lot and so I tend to use it more like a mask. I leave it on while I am conditioning and using the body wash. It is supposed to be used as a shave gel for men so I figure that it won't hurt to leave it on for a bit.
   
4. Get out of the shower and dry off.
5. Spritz my face with Sensaria's Toning Mist. This isn't part of the men's line but I love my toner so much that I can't go without it. This one I can't use enough of it and I usually use about 5 sprays. Even though I use more than directed, it is the last of my face products to run empty.
   
6. Squirt one pump each of Sensaria's Advanced Firming Treatment and White Tea Calming Serum into the palm of my hand. Again, not part of the men's line but I can't live without my repair products either. The first one helps keep my skin firm and supple while the second combats any redness or irritation.
   
7. Pump just the tinist amount of Sensaria's Optimize Rejuvinating Eye Serum on the tip of my ring finger. I tap my ring fingers together and dot it all around my eye area. Gentle is the key here.
   
8. Apply a pea-size amount of Sensaria's Hydragel for Men all over my face. I always use too much of this product! That is okay since I spread it on my neck and chest too. I love how lightweight but still moisturizing this is for me. It also helps calm down any redness too.
   
9. Finish with Sensaria's Daily Sun Protection SPF 28. I don't always use it even though I know I should. It's just that some days I get lazy but really it is one of the best ways to protect your skin against aging!
   
10. Put makeup on.

Ok, that is it. Does it sound like a lot? Well maybe but it doesn't take me long at all and it helps that I have the whole line of products to play with too.
